Lucille M. Becker invented the double action ankle joint in 1963 to achieve a precise, adjustable range of motion for dosri and plantarflexion. Pins and/or springs may be used in a variety of combinations to limit motion and provide dorsi or plantarflexion assist. Becker Orthopedic provides the largest selection of double action stirrup products available: Four different stirrup configurations and seven different ankle joint designs, allow the orthotist to perfectly match the component to the patient.
